THESE WORKS ARE ABOUT TIME, ABANDONMENT AND CHANGE

There is an attraction in the aesthetics of decay. Perhaps it is about the liberation from the perfect, or maybe it is about yearning like the Portuguese “Saudade”; a deep melancholy longing for something that is no longer.

Buildings and objects contain traces of both time and of human contact.

Most of these works show spaces that do not exist in reality. They are created by combining different architectural elements, sometimes from the same interior and sometimes from different buildings.

By altering and adding to what I find, I give these objects and buildings a new voice.
